BYD’s brand-new Qin L official map is released, with a more dynamic appearance and a fifth-generation DM-i hybrid system.

Recently, Qin L, a dynasty model owned by BYD, officially released an official picture of the appearance of the new car. Compared with the spy photos of the appearance exposed in the past, the new official picture can more intuitively see the details and characteristics of the new car, and the new appearance design makes it more cater to the current trend, and the fifth-generation DM-i plug-in system is also more powerful. It is reported that the new car will be officially unveiled at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show, which opened on April 25th. Let’s take a look at it first.

Judging from the official appearance map released by the new car, BYD Qin L has more rhythmic beauty in appearance design, which is more sporty than Qin PLUS. At the front of the new car, the air intake grille has a flat design, and the large-size air intake net and the diversion grooves on both sides of the front enclosure are somewhat similar to Han DM-i, while the headlights on both sides are brand-new styles, which look sharper and more fascinating.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of Qin L are 4,830 * 1,900 * 1,495 mm and the wheelbase is 2,790 mm. Except for the same height, the rest are superior to Qin Plus DM-I.. On the side of the car body, a slip-back car body is adopted, and two sharp lines show the sporty atmosphere; In the rear part, the penetrating taillights belong to the current trend design, and the "Chinese knot" on both sides also highlights the China element. In addition, the new car will adopt the luminous "BYD" English logo for the first time.

In terms of interior, the official interior map of the new car has not been exposed yet. From the spy photos previously exposed, we can see that the center console in the car is equipped with a larger suspended LCD central control panel, as well as LCD instruments and HUD heads-up. The technology atmosphere is very rich. The multi-function steering wheel of the new car also adopts a brand-new D-shaped design, and the auxiliary instrument panel is expected to provide a wireless charging panel for mobile phones, while the front seats of the new car will adopt integrated sports seats, further improving the comfort.

In terms of power system, BYD Qin L will be equipped with the fifth-generation DM-i hybrid system consisting of a 1.5-liter engine and a motor. The maximum output power of the 1.5-liter engine is 4 kW, and the driving motor is available in two options: 120 kW and 160 kW. According to previous news, the new car will be equipped with a battery pack with a capacity of 10.08 kWh or 15.874 kWh, and the pure electric cruising range under WLTC conditions is 60 km and 90 km.
